Ilias Koutsoukos

Ilias Koutsoukos was born in 1950 in Athens. Since 1967, he has been residing permanently in Thessaloniki. He studied journalism at the "Central Office of Information" in London. From 1977 to 1985, he was a regular contributor to the newspaper "Thessaloniki," writing book reviews. He was a founding member and director of ERT3, as well as an administrative advisor until 2011. He made his literary debut in 1978 with poems published in the magazine "Parallax." As a prose writer, he collaborated closely with the magazines "Parafyada" and "The Tram" (third route). He has published ten books, including short stories, fables, novellas, and poems, with publishers such as Livanis, Nefeli, Kastaniotis, Paratiritis, Kedros, and Gavriilidis. His works have been translated and anthologized in English, German, French, Swedish, Hungarian, and Turkish. Since 2016, he has been the president of the Thessaloniki Society of Writers.
