Spyros Derveniotis

Spyros Derveniotis was born in Athens in 1969. He began his career as a cartoonist in 1987 with the comics magazine "Para Pente." He studied Set Design at the Stavrakos School. His work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers, and he collaborates with advertising agencies and publishing houses as an illustrator. He has created the comic series "Mana Raver," "The Breeder" (9 magazine), "Hmourfa Klog" (motosport), "Hairdressers Without Borders" (Hairstyle), "Errol the Eternal Projectionist" (Cinema, script by D. Vanellis), and the series "Mismatch" (metrorama, citypress), which has been anthologized into three albums by "Ellinika Grammata" publications. The same publisher also released his album "Why Do They Hate Us?" featuring both old and new caricatures about the USA. Currently, he creates political cartoons for the newspaper "Citypress" and the agency "Eurokinissi." He has also illustrated four albums of the series "Fanouris Aplas," scripted by D. Vanellis and D. Kalaitzis, published by Mamouth.
