Smaragda Mantadaki

Smaragda Papadopoulou (literary pseudonym: Mandadaki) was born in Thessaloniki in 1969. She studied in Greece and the United States and is currently an assistant professor specializing in the teaching of Modern Greek language at the University of Ioannina. In 1997, she served as editor-in-chief of the children's magazine "The Peacock," commissioned by the European Capital of Culture, Thessaloniki 1997. She has worked for many years as an educator in both public and private education in Greece and abroad. She has participated as a speaker at conferences on language and literature and has edited scripts for educational documentaries for municipalities in Thessaloniki. Her other books in the literary and scientific fields include: "The Prophet's Dreams," Domos, 1995 - "The Tale of Little White Shoes," Kastaniotis, 1996 - "The Secret Library of Alexandria," Archetypo, 1999 - "The Total Language in Teaching Language Expression for Primary Education," Typothito, 2000, published under her real name Smaragda Papadopoulou - "The Call," Armos, 2001 - "The Story of Eight Stars," Typothito, 2002, also published under her real name Smaragda Papadopoulou, among others.
