Nektarios Kefalas Agios Mitropolitis Pentapoleos

Saint Nektarios (feast day: November 9). Metropolitan of Pentapolis, the Wonderworker of Aegina, born Anastasios Kefalas to Dimos and Vasiliki (1846 - November 8, 1920), was a theologian and cleric born in Silivria, Thrace. He served as the director of the Rizarios Ecclesiastical School for a decade (1894-1904). He was canonized as a saint by the Ecumenical Patriarchate in 1961.
