Jim Kay

Jim Kay studied illustration and worked at the archives of the Tate Gallery and the Royal Botanic Gardens, experiences that greatly influenced his art. For the illustration of the book (for which he won the Kate Greenaway Medal), he used a variety of materials to achieve the shapes and feel he aimed for.
