Jon Klassen

Jon Klassen was born in 1981 in Winnipeg, Canada, and grew up near Niagara Falls. He studied animation at Sheridan College in Ontario and then moved to Los Angeles, where he lives to this day. He is an author and illustrator of many children's books and has illustrated numerous books by significant contemporary authors. He is a recipient of the American Caldecott Medal for illustration, as well as the British equivalent, the Kate Greenaway Medal.
