Despoina Tziaki

Despina Tziaki was born and raised in a mountainous village, Kakodiki Selinou, in the Chania Prefecture. She studied Pedagogy at the Department of Preschool Education at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, pursued postgraduate studies at the Hellenic Open University, and further trained at the Preschool Teachers' Training School of the University of Rethymno. For the past 18 years, she has been serving as a kindergarten teacher in public kindergartens in Chania. She is involved in children's books and children's literature and has participated in competitions, earning awards and distinctions. Her works have been published in collective volumes of fairy tales and educational books. She has successfully designed and implemented educational programs and activities in environmental education and reading promotion. Additionally, she narrates folk tales and is a member of "The Storytellers of the City" in Chania since 2019.
