Matt Haig
Matt Haig was born in 1975 in Sheffield, England. His first novel, "The Last Family in England" (based on Shakespeare's "Henry IV, Part 1"), was an immediate success, and its film rights were purchased by Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B. This was followed by "The Dead Fathers Club," an adaptation of "Hamlet" centered around an eleven-year-old boy, and "The Possession of Mr Cave," a horror story about an overprotective father (set for film adaptation by Parallel Films), both of which have been translated into multiple languages. "The Radleys" was first published in 2010 and is being translated into more than 29 languages, with a film adaptation in the works by Alfonso Cuaron (known for "Children of Men" and "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban"). Matt Haig lives in York with author Andrea Semple and their two children.
