Enzo Traverso

Enzo Traverso was born in Gavi (Piedmont) in 1957. He studied history at the University of Genoa and completed his doctorate in 1989 at the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales, under the supervision of Michael Lewy. After teaching for many years at the University of Picardy "Jules Verne" in Amiens, he is now a professor at Cornell University in New York. He frequently contributes articles to contemporary historical and political debates.
