Peter Jeffreys

Peter Jeffreys (Panagiotis Tsafaras) is an Associate Professor of English Literature at Suffolk University in Boston. He studied at Hellenic College (BA), Boston College (MA), and the University of Toronto (PhD). His contributions to Cavafy studies include, in addition to "The Forster - Cavafy Letters: Friends at a Slight Angle" (American University in Cairo Press, 2009), the book "Eastern Questions: Hellenism and Orientalism in the Writings of E.M. Forster and C.P. Cavafy" (ELT Press, 2005), the translation of Cavafy's prose "Selected Prose Works" (University of Michigan Press, 2010), and the forthcoming study "C.P. Cavafy and Literary Decadence" (Cornell University Press, 2013).
