Hugh Howey
Hugh Howey was born in 1975 in the USA. After completing his studies, he worked for several years as a sailing captain along the East Coast of the USA, from the Barbados Islands to Chicago and New York. He began writing "Wool" while working in a bookstore, writing daily for nearly three years. In 2011, he started publishing the novel as an e-book in serialized novella form through amazon.com. The immediate response from readers led to more novellas, and the complete edition of "Wool" quickly reached the top of Amazon's bestsellers, turning the work into a publishing phenomenon. Even before the rights for the print version of the book were granted, 20th Century Fox had purchased the film rights, with the involvement of the famous director Ridley Scott. Hugh Howey is now dedicated to writing and has planned two more books set in the world of "Wool." You can learn more about the author and his work at the website: www.hughhowey.com
