Dionysia Mousoura - Tsoukala

Denise Mousoura-Tsoukalas was born in 1940 in Zakynthos. After high school, she emigrated to Melbourne, Australia. She taught Greek for many years at the afternoon community schools in Melbourne and at the Saturday Multilingual Schools of the Australian Department of Education. She studied Interpretation/Translation at RMIT University. Upon completing her studies, she specialized in Psychiatric Interpretation, a field in which she still works. For decades, she served as the Official Translator for most Federal Ministries of Australia as well as State Services. In parallel, she pursued specialized studies at the Cancer Council of Australia and the Diabetes Australia Service, where she graduated as an Educational Consultant. In this role, she gives public lectures in Greek and English on topics related to Cancer and Diabetes. She has been writing since a young age. Her work has been anthologized in Australia, Greece, and America. Many of her works have been recognized in Literary Competitions in these countries. She publishes her works in various online magazines in Greece, Australia, and Canada.
