Jonas Jonasson

Jonas Jonasson was born in Sweden in 1961. He worked as a journalist, media consultant, and television producer. When he began writing, he decided to completely change his life. He sold all his belongings, left Sweden, and moved to a small town near Lake Lugano in Switzerland. Today, he has returned to his homeland and lives a rural life in the countryside on an island with his son. "The Hundred-Year-Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared" is his first novel. It was the best-selling book in Sweden in 2010 and soon became a global publishing phenomenon, having been translated into 35 languages, sold over 5 million copies, and is set to be adapted into a film.
