Agelos Lappas

Angelos Lappas was born in the village of Chandrinos in Messinia in 1947. He studied classical philology at the University of Athens and served as a teacher in secondary education schools. He is a member of the Society of Greek Writers, the Panhellenic Union of Writers, the Club for UNESCO of Arts, Literature and Science of Greece, and the president of the Union of Messinian Writers. He is married and has two sons. His poems, prose, and reviews, as well as critiques of his work, have been published in various magazines, both print and electronic. His poems have been awarded (he received the first prize in poetry at the 33rd competition of the Union of Greek Writers) and have been recognized in various literary competitions.
