Maurizio Lazzarato
Maurizio Lazzarato, an Italian sociologist, philosopher, and activist, was born in 1955. In the late 1970s, after studying at the University of Padua and participating in the "Workers' Autonomy" movement, he permanently relocated to Paris. There, as an independent researcher, he studies labor power and immaterial labor, the ontology of work and precarity, cognitive capitalism and biopolitics, "post-socialist" movements, activism, and art. He is a founding member and editor of the journal Multitudes, a researcher at the Matisse/CNRS center (University of Paris I), and a member of the College International de Philosophie.
