Ludwig Wittgenstein

Born in 1889 in Vienna, he passed away in 1951 in Cambridge, where he had moved in 1912 to study under Russell and settled in 1929, teaching philosophy (serving as a professor from 1939 to 1947). During World War I, he served in the Austrian army, and from 1920 to 1926, he taught in Austrian public schools. His major works include "Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus" (1922), "Philosophical Investigations" (1953), "Remarks on the Foundations of Mathematics" (1956), and "Philosophical Remarks" (1964).
