Lou Andreas - Salomé

Lou Andreas - Salomé
Lou Andreas Salome was born in Saint Petersburg in 1861 and died in Göttingen in 1937. She closely interacted with many intellectuals, including Nietzsche, Rilke, and Freud. In her time, her life—along with her work—and her strong personal charm led to the creation of myths surrounding her. Her works are categorized into two groups: Literary (novels, short stories, poems) and Theoretical (studies, essays, critiques). The latter fall into the fields of Philosophy, Religious Studies, Literary Theory, Art History, and Psychoanalysis, which she practiced practically as a psychoanalyst after her apprenticeship with Freud.
