Maria Tsima

Maria Tsima was born in Kefalonia. She studied History and Archaeology at the University of Ioannina. She is one of the founding members of THESPI (Theatrical Company of the University of Ioannina) and a graduate of the Drama School of the Athens Conservatoire (1990). She is also a founding member of the Theatrical Organization Stigmi. Maria works in theater, film, and television. Together with Yiannis Anastasakis, she adapted James Thurber's novel "The 13 Clocks" (performed at the Municipal and Regional Theaters of Agrinio, Patras, and Ioannina) and Ines Cagnati's "Trelovgenio" (performed at Stoa Theater - Vasilakou Theater and the National Theater of Northern Greece). - "Cristela": Third Prize in Short Story by Metaichmio Publications. Featured in the collection "The Fear of the Stranger" (2014). - "Money is Poor": A short story by Taxideftis Publications. Featured in the collection "Put Yourself in My Place - 20 Stories of Solidarity" (2015). Second Prize for Adapted Screenplay by the Greek Screenwriters Guild for "Aeolian Earth" by I. Venezis (2014). She wrote the play "Equal Rights," which was presented at VAULT (2016-17).
