Panagiotis E. Dimitropoulos

He was born in Chania, Crete. He grew up in Amaliada, Ilia, as his father served in the Hellenic Police there. He completed his high school education with honors and served as the president of the student council (1993-1994). In 1997, after a nationwide competition, he enlisted in the Hellenic Army with the rank of sergeant, where he continues to serve today, now holding the rank of staff sergeant (Infantry). He has participated in peacekeeping missions in Kosovo and has been honored for his contributions with commendations from NATO, the Ministry of National Defense, and the Hellenic Army General Staff. Since 2010, he has been studying in the Department of Humanities in the field of Hellenic Culture at the Hellenic Open University. He is the General Secretary of the Cultural Association of Kontopoulon Kerameion. In 2014, he was a candidate for the Chania Municipal Council. He is actively involved in parent-teacher associations of several elementary schools. He is married and has a daughter.
