Aglaia Siouti

Aigli Siouti was born in Pyrgos Konitsas. She completed her secondary education in Ioannina. She studied at the Department of French Language and Literature at the School of Philosophy of the University of Athens, as well as at the Department of Media and Modern Greek Studies at the School of Philosophy of the University of Ioannina. She attended the Sorbonne University (Paris IV). She was awarded a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation, and Interpreting at the Ionian University. Since 1989, she has been teaching French Language (general and specialized: FLE/FOS/FOU) at the University of Ioannina. She has also taught Greek Language and Culture at the Center for the Teaching of Greek Language and Culture at the University of Ioannina. She has participated in conferences and published papers in scientific journals on the teaching of French as a foreign language, as well as on French and Greek literature. She is a member of the Society of Writers and Authors of Epirus and scientific associations in Greece and abroad. In 2015, her book "Marguerite of Navarre: Novellas from the 'Heptameron'" was published by Grigoris Editions, with the support of the Cooperation and Cultural Action Service of the French Embassy in Greece.
