
Leyki Sarantinou
Eleftheria (Lefki) Sarantinou was born in Rethymno in 1984. She holds degrees in Harmony, Counterpoint, and a Diploma in Clarinet. In 2005, she graduated with honors and a scholarship from the Department of History and Ethnology at the Democritus University of Thrace. Since 2001, she has been living in Komotini. She has worked at conservatories in Komotini and Alexandroupoli, as well as at the Music School of Komotini. Currently, she is involved in teaching music and history, writing, and studying history.
Her book "Hamsin - The Wind of the East" (published by Historical Quest, December 2014) is her first novel and the first in a trilogy set at the end of the Crusades. In addition to historical novels, she has also written children's books such as "Fruit Friends" (September 2018) and "In Byzantine Times" (June 2020).
She is married and has a son.
