Samuel Bjork

Samuel Bjørk is the pseudonym of Norwegian novelist, playwright, visual artist, and songwriter Frode Sander Øien. Born in 1969, Øien wrote his first play at the age of twenty-two and subsequently published two novels— the acclaimed "Pepsi Love" (2001) and "Speed for Breakfast" (2009)—which were praised by critics. Self-taught and indifferent to the media, Øien has also published five other plays, released six music albums, and held numerous gallery exhibitions. He lives in Oslo, where he translates, among other works, Shakespeare.
