Dan Senor

Dan Senor, Adjunct Senior Fellow in Middle Eastern Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, has been actively involved in politics and business in the Middle East. As a senior foreign policy advisor in the U.S. government, he was one of the political officials in Iraq with a lengthy tenure, for which he was awarded the highest honor by the Pentagon. He also served as an advisor to the Pentagon's Central Command in Qatar and as a Foreign Policy Communications Advisor in the U.S. Senate. He studied in Israel and at Harvard Business School and has extensively traveled throughout the Arab world. In his business career, he has invested in a significant number of Israeli and American startups and currently collaborates with a global investment fund based in New York. Senor's analytical articles are frequently published in the Wall Street Journal, and he has also written for the New York Times, Washington Post, Weekly Standard, and Time. He lives in New York with his wife and their two sons.
