Dimitris Tsinikopoulos

Dimitris Tsinikopoulos is a researcher, scholar, poet, short story writer, and essayist. He studied law at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and pursued postgraduate studies both there and in Germany. He has studied philosophy, philology, and theology and has attended seminars in biblical theology for several years. His research interests primarily focus on legal and philological topics of the ancient Near East. He made his literary debut in 1982 with an original study. To date, he has published five poetry collections, two collections of aphorisms, five studies, and four volumes of essays. He has also contributed to collective works. His collaborations in studies, short stories, essays, reviews, and poetry are published in well-known literary and art magazines. He has translated biblical texts, literary topics of the Ancient Near East, as well as texts and poems by contemporary authors such as Gabriela Mistral, Joseph Brodsky, Octavio Paz, Emmanuel Levinas, Ezra Pound, C.S. Lewis, W.H. Auden, George Herbert, Paul Tillich, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, and others. His essays and poems have been translated into English, German, French, and Italian. He has participated in conferences and seminars and has occasionally given lectures at the Society for Macedonian Studies, the Vafopoulio Cultural Foundation, the Thessaloniki Bar Association, and elsewhere, on literary, scientific, and metaphysical topics. He resides in Thessaloniki.
