Michaela Antoniou

Michaela Antoniou was born in Piraeus and raised in Athens and Thessaloniki. She graduated from the Drama School of the National Theatre and has collaborated as an actress with many directors, including Spyros Evangelatos, Giorgos Michaelides, and Antonis Antoniou, among others. She graduated with honors from the Department of Theatre Studies at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA) and pursued postgraduate studies at Goldsmiths, University of London, where she completed her Ph.D. focusing on acting and directing in contemporary Greek theatre. She has taught at all levels of education and, in recent years, has been seconded to the Department of Theatre Studies at EKPA. Her articles have been published in academic journals. She wrote the comedy "Untitled Due to Amnesia," which was staged by the Anemi troupe in collaboration with the Patras Municipal and Regional Theatre. "Margarita and the Sea" is her second novel, featuring the protagonist Margarita Trianti. She lives in Athens and has a daughter.
