Ingolf Pernice

Professor Dr. Dr. hc Ingolf Pernice is the founder and director of the Walter Hallstein Institute of European Constitutional Law at Humboldt University of Berlin. He studied law and economics in Marburg, Geneva, and Freiburg, and holds a Diploma of Advanced European Studies from the University of Bruges. He has taught at the University of Frankfurt, Paris II, Berlin, and Princeton. He is considered one of the most influential Euro-constitutionalists and has made a significant contribution to the discussion on the European Constitution. On his initiative, the lecture series on Europe was launched at Humboldt University, a key reference point in Germany, as is the Forum Constitutionis Europae. He is also a co-founder of the European Constitutional Law Network.
