Nikos A. Mpakounakis

Nikos Bakounakis was born in Patras in 1956. He is a graduate of the Law Department of the Law School of Athens and holds an eleve diploma from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) in Paris. He earned his Ph.D. in History and Civilizations from EHESS. He is a journalist and the culture editor at Vima tis Kyriakis. He has been elected as a full professor at Panteion University, where he has been teaching since 2003. In 1997, he created the "Books" supplement for "Vima tis Kyriakis," the first book supplement in the Greek press.
