Rudolph E. Tanzi holds the Joseph P. and Rose F. Kennedy Chair of Neurology at Harvard University and is the Director of the Genetics and Aging Research Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital. As the director of the Alzheimer’s Genome Project, he has discovered, along with his colleagues, several genes associated with Alzheimer’s, including the first one. He has authored (along with Ann B. Parson) the book "Decoding Darkness: The Search for the Genetic Causes of Alzheimer’s Disease."
