Emmanouil Limenitis

Emmanuel Limenitis (formerly known as Georgillas) was a scholar and cleric from Rhodes. He lived from the 15th to the 16th century. He authored works that provide information about dramatic events in Rhodes at the end of the 15th century. His most significant work is "Thanatikon of Rhodes," which recounts the events following the plague epidemic that struck the Island of the Knights in 1498. Another of his works is an adaptation of a Byzantine novel, which details the fictional adventures of General Belisarius, titled "Historical Explanation about Belisarius."
