Nikos Vardakas

Nikos Vardakas was born in 1976 in Thessaloniki, where he currently resides. In 2013, his work "Syntagma Square" was published by Rome Editions. In 2014, his text titled "Toledo in Times of Storm" was included in a collection for the El Greco year by the same publisher, followed by his poetry collection "2015" in 2015. That same year, his text "Dedicated" was featured in the second group poetry collection by Dianysma Editions. In 2016, the third group poetry collection was released by the same publisher, featuring two of his texts. His work "Until Redemption" was self-published as a free ebook in 2015. In 2016, his works "Hopes Resemble Nights" and "Nostalgia" were released as free ebooks by Dianysma Editions. That year, his text "Journey" was included in the collection "Trainographies" by tovivlio.net. Additionally, the ebook "Bonsai Stories" was published by tovivlio.net, featuring his text "Darkness." Since 2016, his blog has hosted four collections: "Incompatible," "Early Works (1992-2005)," "Texts," and "2005-2015." In 2017, his new works titled "Emotions," "Stories of the City," and "Past" were featured. Furthermore, the "Poetry Anthology 2017-2018" was published by Ostria Editions, including one of his texts. The same year, the collective work "Christ is Born" was published by the same publisher, featuring his text. In December of that year, he performed a poetry reading at the Vafopoulio Cultural Center in Thessaloniki as part of the event "The Melody of Solidarity." In 2018, a new collection of texts titled "Thoughts" and his poetry collection "Dystopia" were published on his blog. During the event "The Peace of Nations," organized by the "Shelf of Love" association at the "Manolis Anagnostakis" Hall of the Thessaloniki City Hall, he recited his poem "Peace." On August 20, 2018, his new book titled "23" was released by Rome Editions. Later that year, his work "Photostichs" was also published by the same publisher. Additionally, his poem "Moment" was included in Dimitris Gogas' collective work "Time and Word" as a free ebook. His text "Dawn" is now part of the "Artistic Calendar 2019" by tovivlio.net. On December 28, 2018, he recited poetry at the "Music Center" in Thessaloniki during the event "The Melody of Solidarity." In April 2019, his poem "Existence of Erebus" was included in "Klivanos" – a literary and arts review magazine by the "Surrealist Group of Thessaloniki" – published by Rome Editions. In September 2019, his new book titled "Where Cries Bloom" was released by Grotesque-Elkystis Group Editions. Recently, the collective work "The Thessaloniki of Poets" was published by Rome Editions, featuring one of his poems selected by a working group. Additionally, his personal poem was included in the "Artistic Calendar 2020" by tovivlio.net, and another in the poetry collection "Provocateur"-"Windblown Poems" titled "Because When You Dream."
