Darryl Cunningham

Darryl Cunningham studied fine arts at Leeds University. He is involved in graphic journalism. He has worked as a nurse in a psychiatric clinic, an experience he drew upon for his first book, "Psychiatric Tales" (Blank Slate 2010), which achieved significant success. His second comic, "Science Tales" (Myriad 2012), was nominated for the 2012 British Comic Awards in the "Best Book" category. In 2014, he won the award for Best Independent Writer at the Broken Frontier Awards for "Supercrash" (Critique 2015), which was included in the New York Times bestseller list of 2015 and was shortlisted for the 2015 British Book Design and Production Awards.
