Tasos THeofilou

Tasos Theofilou was born on December 17, 1982. In 2008, he graduated from the Faculty of Theology at the University of Athens. He became active in the blogosphere under the pseudonym Tassios Theta, managing websites with literary and anti-authoritarian content, collectively titled "Paranoiriko" (http://paranoiriko.blogspot.gr/, https://paranoiriko.wordpress.com/, https://paranoiriko.tumblr.com/). In August 2012, he was arrested as a suspect, based on an "anonymous" tip and a DNA finding, for involvement in the robbery of Alpha Bank in Paros and the murder of taxi driver Dimitris Michas, who tried to stop the robbers, as well as for participation in the organization "Conspiracy of Fire Nuclei." Initially, he was sentenced to 25 years in prison, a decision he appealed. In July 2017, the Five-Member Court of Appeals for Felonies acquitted him of all charges, recognizing that the incriminating evidence against him was insufficient, and he was released while a mass support movement had developed in his favor. His prison experience is reflected in the books "32 Steps or Correspondences from the House of the Dead" (KPSM, 2015) and "Ahvahiko" (Red n’ Noir, 2017).
