Vasilis Kontaxis

Vasilis Kontaxis was born in Ioannina and lives between his hometown and Athens. He studied music, singing, and theater. He has pursued a professional career as a singer, actor, and director, participating in over forty musical and theatrical productions in these capacities. He has collaborated with the musical ensembles of ERT, the National Theatre, the Athens Festival, among others. Notably, he has staged three plays by Yiannis Ritsos and recently directed Euripides' Hecuba. He is also a vocal and speech instructor and has taught at various advanced drama schools and theater workshops. "The Cello" is his first novel.
