Jessie Burton

Jessie Burton was born in 1982. She studied at the University of Oxford and the Central School of Speech and Drama, and worked as an administrative assistant in the City. She lives in southeast London. Her debut novel, "The Miniaturist," was published in 2014 and was named Book of the Year by Waterstones and the Observer. It won the National Book Awards New Writer of the Year 2014 and has become one of the biggest bestsellers in recent years, having been translated into more than 35 languages.
