Anastasios L. Stampoulidis

Anastasios L. Stampoulidis
Anastasios L. Stamboulidis was born in 1940 in Vatolakko, Grevena. His parents hail from Pontus with roots in Constantinople. A retired educator and member of Pontic associations, he actively participates in efforts a) for the recognition of the Genocide of the Pontic and Asia Minor Greeks, b) for highlighting the Pontic resistance as a paramount struggle of national resistance against Turkish persecution, and c) for preserving the heritage of his ancestors. The historical material he has documented is based on the testimonies of the brave chieftains who operated in the unyielding Pontic mountains, where Kemal's hordes met their match.
