Andreas Georgallidis

Andreas Georgallides studied Education, History-Archaeology, and Philosophy at the University of Cyprus. He pursued postgraduate studies in Philosophy at the University of Paris I-Pantheon-Sorbonne and obtained his Ph.D. in Philosophy from the University of Sussex (UK). He is the author of "From Theory to Mysticism: the Unclarity of the Notion 'Object' in Wittgenstein's Tractatus" (Cambridge Scholars 2018), which is also available in Greek, translated by himself (Iambos 2018). Additionally, he translated into Greek the works: "Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus" (Iambos 2016) and "Wittgenstein and the Tractatus" (Iambos 2019). He has published the poetry collections "Opposing Semi-straights" (1998), "Frozen Void at 516°C" (2001), "Locked Seas" (2003), "When the Piano Sinks" (2004), "Colors Opposite" (2007), "The Piano Fell Silent" (2011) in digital format, and the poetry collection "slightly more empty" (2018). His poetic work has been translated and published in sixteen languages. He worked at the Cyprus Pedagogical Institute and is currently a Scientific Collaborator at the University of Cyprus.
