Lazaros Alexakis
Lazaros Alexakis was successfully born in Heraklion, Crete, and spent his teenage years trying to escape from it. He moved to Athens, where he studied Literature, Philosophy, and Psychology. During his studies, he made sure to engage with a wide range of sciences, mostly by entering the wrong classrooms. He acquired an outrageous number of motorcycles, which he used to climb mountains, not always returning. As a self-taught guitarist, he played in a series of clubs that soon faced financial ruin.
He studied Psychology in England, where he often got soaked due to always wearing the wrong clothes. He loves comics, noir films, and Agatha Christie. He plays funk, soul, jazz, and writes blues lyrics. He writes avidly in magazines, on social media, and in notebooks. He works as an educator in Heraklion, which he now adores. He has been writing articles since 2005, and three of his short story collections have been published, the first of which was voted by readers among the top 10 in the Public awards. "Oblique" is his first novel.
