
Korais Damatis
Korais Damatis was born in 1952 in Alexandria, Egypt. He moved to Greece with his family in 1962. He studied theater and danced with the "Chorika" group of Zouzou Nikoloudi and the "Greek Dance Drama" of Rallou Manou. He participated as an actor and dancer in several performances. He founded the theater group "Seventh Theater." He has directed works by Euripides, Shakespeare, Weiss, Brecht, Beckett, Lope de Vega, Genet, Beaumarchais, Aristophanes, Gombrowicz, Sherman, Williams, Ionesco, Giraudoux, Camus, Martin McDonagh, Giorgos Sevastikoglou, and others for the National Theater, various Municipal Regional theaters, the Athens Festival, and independent theater. The novel "The House Alone" is his first book.
