Maria Vlachou

Maria Vlachou was born in July 1977 in Athens, where she spent her childhood. She studied Educational Sciences at the University of Ioannina and pursued postgraduate studies in Educational Administration at the University of the Aegean. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Patras. Her academic research interests focus on diversity, intercultural learning, and creative writing. In 2015, she published her first poetry collection titled "A Few Meters Beyond" (Theodoridis Publications). In November 2016, her second poetry book, "Body of Folds," was published by Perispomeni Publications, and in 2018, her third poetry collection, "Feet in the Courtyard of the World," was released by Kedros Publications. Her poems have been published in print and online literary and art magazines. She maintains a personal poetry blog at mar-vlachou.blogspot.gr. She lives in Kefalonia, where she is originally from, and works as a primary education teacher.
