
Simon Van Booy
Simon Van Booy was born in London in 1975 and grew up in the Welsh countryside. He is the author of the books "The Secret Lives of People in Love," "Love Begins in Winter" (which was awarded the Frank O'Connor International Short Story Award), "Everything Beautiful Began After" (his first novel, already translated into more than 15 languages), "The Illusion of Separateness," "Tales of Accidental Genius" (short stories), and "Father’s Day."
He has edited three philosophy books: "Why We Fight," "Why We Need Love," and "Why Our Decisions Don’t Matter." His writings have been published in the New York Times, the Daily Telegraph, and the Guardian, and he writes the 'New Yorker' column for the Chinese edition of ELLE Men magazine.
He lives with his wife and daughter in Brooklyn, New York, where he teaches at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan.
