
Natasa Sideri
Natasa Sideri was born in Athens in 1981. She studied Business Administration at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Comparative Politics at the University of York in England, and Modern French Philosophy at King’s College London. She is a playwright, short story writer, and translator. Her early plays were written and presented in English. In 2013, her play titled "On The Bridge" won first prize in a competition organized by the Origins group and was presented to the English audience the same year. This was followed by "The Island of Immortality," which won an award in the playwriting competition of the Ronald Duncan Literary Foundation and toured the UK under the direction of The Certainty of Chance Theatre Company. Returning to Greece in 2015, she attended the Writing Studio of the National Theatre. In 2016, the Panhellenic Union of Writers awarded her an accolade for her novella "Three out of Five." In 2017, her work "Titanomachies" (Sokoli, 2017) was presented at the National Theatre, directed by Yro Mane, as part of the Playwright of the Month initiative. In 2018, her first short story collection titled "Dominant Cunning Thoughts" was published by Mov Squirrel Editions, earning her the debut fiction writer award from the magazine "O Anagnostis." Her other short stories have appeared in Greek and international publications.
