François Lefèvre

Francois Lefevre, since being awarded first prize in 1982 in a competition focused on translating Latin text into Greek, has pursued an exceptional career primarily dedicated to the history of ancient Greece and late antiquity. During this journey, he served at the Ecole Francaise d’Athenes from 1990-1994 and 1995-1998. Since 2006, he has been a professor of ancient Greek history at Universite Paris-IV. He is also the appointed director of the Universite Inter-Ages, the director of the Institute of Greek Epigraphy, and the director of the Research Center for Ancient Libya.
