
Robert Swindells
Robert Swindells was born in 1939 in Bradford, England. He left school at the age of fifteen and began working for a local newspaper. At seventeen, he joined the RAF and later worked in various jobs before studying and working as a teacher. He now dedicates himself exclusively to writing and lives in Yorkshire. He has written numerous books for both young and older readers and has been honored with many awards for his books, including the "Carnegie Medal," one of the most prestigious English awards for children's literature.
