Dinah Jefferies

Dinah Jefferies was born in Malaysia in 1948. She has lived in England since she was nine years old, but when she began writing novels after turning sixty, she was able to return to Southeast Asia—first through her imagination and then by traveling there every year to conduct research for each new novel. She currently resides in Gloucestershire with her husband. Her books "The Tea Planter's Wife" and "The Silk Merchant's Daughter," published by Kleidarithmos, have become bestsellers and are being published in many countries. Jefferies frequently writes for The Guardian and other newspapers.
