
CHristos Vakalopoulos
Christos Vakalopoulos (1956-1993) was born in Athens. He studied economics at the Athens University of Economics and Business and film in Paris. He worked as a film critic for the newspaper "Avgi" (1975-1985) and the magazines "Modern Cinema" and "Anti." He wrote screenplays for Nikos Panagiotopoulos and Stavros Tsiolis, as well as a commissioned novel, "Case Best Seller" (1980). This was followed by "The Graduates" (1984), "New Athenian Stories" (1989), and "The Horizon Line" (1991). His films include "Verandas" (1984), "Theater" (1986), and the feature films "Olga Robards" (1989) and "Please, Ladies, Don't Cry" (1992, co-directed with Stavros Tsiolis). He also worked as an actor, producer, and radio show host.
