
Eyagelos G. Aydikos
Evangelos Gr. Avdikos was born in 1951 in Preveza, with roots from Syrrako. He studied in the Classical Department of the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ioannina and worked for many years in secondary education as a philologist. He is a professor of folklore in the Department of History, Archaeology, and Social Anthropology at the University of Thessaly. His articles have been published in journals, collective volumes, and conference proceedings. His literary works include, among others, the following titles: "The Gaze on the Wall with the Mandania," short stories, (Ellinika Grammata, 2001), "My Own God," novel, (Taxideftis, 2004), "Thrace and the Others. Tracing Cultural Boundaries and Historical Memory" (Odysseas, 2007), "The Yellow Umbrella" (Metaichmio, 2007) - it was shortlisted by the magazine "Diavazo" for the 2008 novel award, "Once Upon a Time but It Can Happen Now. Education as a Space for Shaping Storytellers" (Ellinika Grammata, 1999), "The Child in Traditional and Modern Society" (Ellinika Grammata, 1996), "The Folk Tale. Theoretical Approaches" (Odysseas, 1994).
