Sabaa Tahir

Sabaa Tahir was born in London but grew up in the Mojave Desert of California, at her family's eighteen-room motel. After graduating from UCLA, Sabaa worked in the foreign news department of the Washington Post. Three summers later, she conceived the idea for her first novel, "An Ember in the Ashes." Sabaa lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with her family. The book "An Ember in the Ashes" has been sold in 33 countries, has reached the top positions on bestseller lists, and is being adapted into a film.
