Eliot, Charles Dickens, and Geoffrey Chaucer, as well as studies on the works and actions of significant figures like Thomas More, William Turner, and Isaac Newton. In addition to being a renowned biographer, he is also a television presenter. He has been honored with the title of CBE by the British government for his services to English literature. He has also authored a captivating "biography" of London and a study on the Thames.
