Anna Gertsou - Sarri

Anna Gertsou-Sarri was born in Istanbul in 1936 and passed away in Athens in 2011. She lived in Athens from 1938. After studying in the Commercial Department of the American College, she worked as a secretary and later as an English teacher. She wrote books for both children and adults and was also involved in translations. She was awarded the Ipekci First Prize for her book "They Called It Clear," the State Prize for Children's Literature in 1992 for her book "The Other Voice," and the "Michailas Averof" award from the Hellenic Authors' Society in 1984 for her book "House Without a Scar."
