Rocio Bonilla

Rocio Bonilla was born in Barcelona in 1970. She graduated from the Barcelona School of Fine Arts and began her professional career in various fields such as painting, mural art, photography, pedagogy, and eventually advertising, which kept her away from her pencils for 12 years. Motherhood brought a complete shift in her career: captivated by children's imagination, she left advertising and founded a company dedicated to decorating children's spaces with handmade murals. In 2011, she entered the publishing world and since then, she has been combining children's book illustration with mural art. She primarily works for young readers. Her three children are her toughest critics but also her biggest fans. She enjoys cooking, knitting teddy bears, and listening to Billie Holiday's music. If she were an animal, she would be a parrot. She never gets tired of drawing.
